Dubai is a Tax-free Country
All residents of Dubai are not required to pay tax on their income, property or capital gains.
There are no sales tax in Dubai but high taxes are imposed on alcohol and other products that are considered Haram. Goods imported from outside the country are also being taxed.
Though Dubai is well known for its tax-free living, the government levies a 10% municipal tax on hotel revenues and entertainment. Thus hotel rooms and restaurants are adding 10% on you bill for this reason.
